After many years in the fashion industry she created her own brand, as she fell in love with her mother’s old bag from the 1970’s. Karina Mundt Holst redesigned this particular bag - and this bag named the ‘working bag one pocket’ - is one of the brand’s bestsellers. With big entrepreneurship Karina Mundt Holst started from scratch and built up her business to a solid company and a well-known brand on the marked. A graduate of the renowned Danish School of Design, Hanne Graumann started Gritt & Graumann before being poached to the Head Designer position at InWear.
After a decade she left to immerse herself in her passion for vintage clothes, opening the doors to Wetterman & Graumann - a pioneer amongst Copenhagens fine vintage shops.
But her creative and independent spirit was calling. Before long she returned to design and launched her own label Graumann. A line of sexy, subtle and sophisticated clothing; elegant, easy and womanly. Her fascinations are wide and varied; movies, travel, food, books, street style - she draws inspiration from all over into a design code for each seasons collection.
But nothing pleases her more than individual interpretation of her clothing. "When I see someone enjoying my clothes, combining garments in new and unexpected ways - that's my true inspiration."
”Creation is my great passion. I constantly see new possibilities and forms. The urge to create has always been a part of me. I find my inspiration in fashion, architecture, furniture, nature and in people. I am very observant, and I see details that inspire me everywhere.” Pernille Corydon.
Scandinavian simplicity inspired by geometric shapes characterizes the work of Pernille Corydon. The Danish designer creates distinct, modern jewellery stripped of excess. What remains is a pure and feminine expression that matches women of all ages from all parts of the world.
Pernille Corydon captures the essence of comtemporary style, interprets it and transforms it into two annual jewellery collections, which both challenge and complement the current fashion trends.
Born in 1976 Pernille Corydon grew up in the small beautiful town of Kerteminde on the Danish island of Fyn. Pernille Corydon’s interest in crafts showed at an early age, and through the years her unique talent became more and more evident. In 2008 Pernille Corydon started focusing on designing jewellery, that she produced by hand herself. To begin with her designs were sold only through her own design shop in her current hometown Haderslev in Southern Denmark. However, it soon became clear that her distinctive design had potential for more. The basis for the design company Pernille Corydon Jewellery had been created.
After years of massive success in Denmark, Pernille Corydon has now made her international breakthrough. Today her jewellery is sold through more than 200 retailers in several countries and in cosmopolitan cities such as Helsinki, London, Berlin and Tokyo.
